​​Why We’re Here

We all love sauna — the heat, the connection, the community. But we also know that firewood and electricity have an impact. The Green Sauna Project is our way of balancing things out. If each of us makes a little effort, together we can make a big difference.

Our Approach

• No bosses, no rules police. This is a co-op, not a corporation. Everyone does their part in their own way.

• Keep it simple. Count what you burn or the power you use, make a rough estimate of your carbon footprint, and then offset it.

• Do it your way. That could mean planting trees, donating to local revegetation projects, or tipping into a carbon offset fund.

How We Work It Out

• Wood-fired? Work it out by how much wood you order.

• Electric? Grab your power bills and use the emissions figures.

• From there, just set a fair donation or action that feels right.

What Matters Most

• Honesty, not perfection. We’re not here to crunch numbers to the decimal point.

• Inspiration, not judgment. Share what you’re doing so others can learn and maybe copy.

• Community over competition. We all want the same thing — warming people, not the planet.

The Big Picture

We’re sauna lovers doing our bit. No one can fix the climate alone, but together we can set an example, make sauna culture greener, and feel good knowing that every session gives back.
